Artist's Comments
I've been listening to a lot of Negativland lately, and I love how they splice together sounds from all different contexts to make a new, hilarious commentary. This is also what Viggo Mortensen did with various George Bush clips on his album with Buckethead, 'Intelligence Failure'.
Apparently one name for this kind of music is 'sound collage', and I love it. Here is my first attempt. It's a bit clumsy, I know - sorry it's very quiet at the moment and the mixing isn't great - but like I said, it's my first attempt ever and so I will just keep on learning. And collecting funny samples. Many thanks to  for the trackbar which will now make listening to my music much easier and more interactive on this site than just a plain flash that runs from end to end. |
